The Ceol Mor of the Clarsach
Not only does it seem that piobaireachd was originally a harp form, but we also have the Port and Brosnachadh, both originally harp music. This workshop will explore the "classical" music of the ancient wire strung harp. Primarily lecture in format, Cynthia will also perform examples of the big music of the clarsach.
Designed as a presentation for harpers, this talk is also of value to any group interested in the music of Scotland. It can also be prepared and presented as a master class for players of any of the harps of Scotland and Ireland.
